Tascent supports biometrics-based border crossing solution in Singapore

Tascent is proud to support ST Engineering as they deliver a groundbreaking biometrics-based border crossing solution to the Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) in Singapore.

The Automated Passenger In-car Clearance System (APICS) trial uses Tascent’s InSight One device to provide iris and face acquisition of travelers in their vehicles. The system provides accurate and efficient biometric authentication of travelers at the Woodlands Checkpoint, one of Singapore’s two land border-entry points. APICS’ unique capabilities enable people to cross the border without needing to exit their vehicle or directly interact with immigration officials.
